”"We believe in creating spaces that feel curated but never overdesigned—where every detail serves both beauty and function."
Loho InteriorsGina Sanders & Alex Burnside
Greenville-based design duo Gina Sanders and Alex Burnside are the creative minds behind Loho Interiors, a firm known for its fresh take on transitional style. With a love for layered textures and timeless materials, their designs strike the perfect balance between warmth and simplicity. In this spotlight, we’re diving into their design journey, favorite materials, and a recent powder bath project that captures their signature look—featuring our Calacatta Mystery Extra marble.
Q: Tell us a little about your background. When did you decide you wanted to become a designer?
A: My path into interior design began a bit unexpectedly—by supporting a close friend who specialized in renovations. I encouraged her to explore furnishings more deeply, and through that collaboration, I found myself falling in love with the design process. After about a year, we went in different directions, and I teamed up with Alex, who had always been creatively inclined. From day one, our visions aligned, and we’ve been growing Loho Interiors together ever since.
Q: What style do you like to design the most?
A: We describe our style as transitional—it’s a blend of old and new, warmth and minimalism. We love bringing in classic materials and textures, but always strive for spaces that feel clean, calm, and livable. It’s all about thoughtful balance—curated, but never overdone.

This powder bath renovation in Greenville features Calacatta Mystery Extra, and it’s one of our favorite spaces. The stone pairs beautifully with the bold wallpaper, brass fixtures, and custom cabinetry. The wallpaper, part of the Alchemy Collection: Elemental by Teresa Roche Textiles, adds an artful layer of texture and color that really brings the space to life. It’s a small space, but it makes a big statement.

Q: What project are you most proud of?
A: One of our favorite projects was a multi-year collaboration with a close friend. We helped her renovate her home in stages, and the relationship made the design process even more meaningful. She has amazing style, so working together felt like a true creative partnership. The finished space felt deeply personal to all of us.
